Efe drops ‘Somebody’

Efe Ejeba, winner of Big Brother Naija reality show, last Friday released a new single titled Somebody.
This is the second single, following ‘Based on Logistics’ which he released after leaving the Big Brother house.
Released under his imprint, EfeNation, the song, produced by Duktor Sett, portrays Efe’s pidgin raps, an extension of the ‘Warri-ness’ which earned him massive support to emerge winner by votes.
Efe, a University of Jos Economics graduate was already pursuing music as  a career before he competed in the Big Brother reality TV show and won N25m am and a brand new SUV.
Achieving superstar status, Efe, an indigene of Delta State who grew up in Jos, Plateau State, was received by the Delta and Plateau state governors. And he was conferred as Nigeria Youth Ambassador.
The ‘Based on Logistics’ crooner also supports 1K1M, an initiative aimed at getting one million Nigerians to donate one thousand naira to treat 200 children with congenital heart diseases.
Efe’s fan base as a musician has soared as a result of participating in and becoming Big Brother Naija.

Wike raising false alarm against security agencies, says APC

The Rivers State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Governor Nyesom Wike of raising false alarm against security agencies. The governor, on Wednesday, claimed the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives were behind kidnapping and robbery in the state. Business hijackers after my life – 1004 Estates MD

The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of 1004 Estates Limited, Mr. Sam Ukpong, has alleged that some home owners and residents in the high rise building are after his life. Ukpong said he has been receiving threat calls and SMS in the past few weeks to give up the estates or lose his life. The 1004 estates chief, who raised the alarm on Tuesday, said the threat was not unconnected with the forceful invasion and takeover of the estate by some residents since December 2015. No tension in Kaduna, say govt, police

Kaduna State government and the police yesterday dispelled rumour of tension. There had been rumour from outside the state since Monday that Kaduna was on fire, making relations of residents to phone their loved ones. At a meeting with Igbo and Yoruba communities, Police Commissioner Agyole Abeh advised residents to go about their activities, as there was no crisis. He said: “There is no crisis in Kaduna. The state is peaceful. I advise people to go about their activities. “Don’t be apprehensive, the rumour is baseless and unfounded. According to a letter sent to their lawyer Festus Keyamo (SAN) by Peter, he demanded for a termination of the agreement as a group. Al Qaeda frees abducted Swede

Hostage Johan Gustafsson, held by al-Qaeda in Mali since 2011, has been freed, the Swedish government said on Monday. Mr. Gustafsson, 42, is being flown back to Sweden from Africa, Sweden’s Foreign Minister, Margot Wallström, said in a statement. The BBC reports that the Swede was seized by al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) along with two other men, one of whom was freed in a dawn raid in 2015. Ms Wallström said Mr. Gustafsson was “in good spirits.” “It is with great pleasure that I can announce that Johan Gustafsson has been released,” Ms Wallström added.
