Residents of Gbongan, the headquarters of Ayedade Local Government Area of Osun State, have raised the alarm over a suspected ritualist’s den in the community.
It was gathered that the residents perceived offensive odour from a four-room building at Idifa in Ile-Eesu Compound where an unidentified man was reportedly living.
The residents were said to have burst into the building and found three human heads and some decomposing body parts.
They reportedly apprehended the suspected ritualist in the building and handed him over to the police.
Police spokesperson Folasade Odoro, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), said the residents apprehended the suspect and handed him over to the police.
She said the command had begun investigation into matter.
Mrs Odoro assured the residents that other accomplices on the run would be apprehended and brought to justice.
