Police arrest two over unlawful possession of firearms

Two suspects have been arrested in Pasali Kuje Area Council of FCT over unlawful possession of firearms.
The suspects – Suleiman Salisu and Salisu Awolu – were arrested by police detectives at about 03:15 a.m. on Monday.
Exhibits recovered from them included one locally-made pistol and a cutlass.
The spokesman of the FCT police command, Anjuguri Manzah, disclosed these in a statement on Tuesday.
The statement reads: “As part of proactive crime prevention measures deployed by the FCT Police Command to make the Federal Capital Territory safe and secure for all, police detectives attached to Kuje Division acting on tip have arrested two suspects over unlawful possession of firearm.”
“The FCT Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo, has ordered that the suspects and exhibits be transferred to the Command Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for discreet investigation.”
