Serena Williams: Baby Name, Picture Revealed


Serena Williams on Wednesday shared first photos of her adorable baby girl to the public.
The Tennis star released the first image of newborn baby girl on Instagram with a name.
Serena and her fiancé Alexis Ohanian have named their daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.
 “So we’re leaving the hospital after six, seven days,” Serena said on Instagram. “It’s been a long time, but we had a lot of complications, but look who we got — we got a baby girl!”
Williams also shared some vital stats for Alexis in a video, including an impressive major count for someone who isn’t even two weeks old yet, referencing the fact Williams won the Australian Open in January when she was eight weeks pregnant. Yeah, Serena is that dominant.
The 23-time grand slam singles champion believes her baby who will probably dominate women’s tennis in about 20 years.

Oni blasts PDP, looters

The National Deputy Chairman,  All Progressives Congress  (APC), Chief Segun Oni, says the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)-led administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan caused what he called horrendous damage to the Nigerian economy. He told newsmen on Thursday at the  Makurdi  airport that the damage was “worst than one can imagine”. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said on Tuesday that Nigeria has exited its worst economic recession in more than two decades, notching up growth of 0.55 per cent in the second quarter of 2017. Forces against push for sugar self-sufficiency

The Federal Government plans to achieve self-sufficiency in sugar. It targets domestic production of 1.7 million metric tonnes of sugar by 2020, to, among others, halt the yearly loss of about N350 billion to importation of the product and create jobs. Excess light, heat can damage eyes

Dr Ayodeji Alade, an Ophthalmologist at the General Hospital, Omuaran, Kwara, has warned people against getting exposed to excess light and heat to avoid damage to cornea of the  eyes  resulting in blindness. Alade gave the warning in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Omu-Aran on Friday. He explained that exposure to excessive light and heat could lead to the growth, pterygium, an infection of the eye caused by dust, heat, smoke, pollen and wind. He said the disease occurred more often in people who lived in warm climates and spent a lot of time outdoors in sunny or windy environments. The expert further explained that symptoms of pterygium include redness, blurred vision, eye irritation and burning sensation or itches. Gunmen ‘kill’ Tiv monarch

The kindred head of Ushir, in Shitile clan, Katsina Ala Local Government of Benue State, Chief Yimaorga Asogo, has been allegedly killed by gunmen. A source said: “Chief Asogo was abducted from his home last night by gunmen after they overpowered his family. “He was taken away, strangled and his body was abandoned in a bush before it was later found by a search party.” Killings have been on the rise since the state government declared criminal gang leader, Terwase Akwaza, wanted. Those murdered are mostly from Yooyo ward, Kpav Shitile in Katsina Ala Local Government, the country home of the wanted gang leader. The President of Sankera Development Association (SADA), Gboko branch, Teryila Asom, who confirmed the killing of the monarch, urged security agencies to live up to their responsibility. He lamented that Sankera, known for yam production, was gradually being turned into a war zone.
