A constellation of Kenyan artists, comprising Bensoul, Savara (of Sauti Sol fame), Nviiri The Storyteller, Fathermoh, Ndovu Kuu, Maandy, and Jovial, come together in the stunning musical collaboration "Tujengane." The English translation of the song title, "Tujengane," is "Let's Build Together," which sums up the message of harmony, cooperation, and support for one another.

The song emphasizes the value of uniting as a society to celebrate life, regardless of one's financial situation, obstacles at work, or other difficulties in life. This song exhorts listeners to put aside their disagreements and difficulties in order to work together to accomplish more than they could separately.

Oni blasts PDP, looters

The National Deputy Chairman,  All Progressives Congress  (APC), Chief Segun Oni, says the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)-led administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan caused what he called horrendous damage to the Nigerian economy. He told newsmen on Thursday at the  Makurdi  airport that the damage was “worst than one can imagine”. Epidemic of illicit wiretaps

IN the past few days, the social media has been buzzing with stories of a supposed telephone conversation between Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State and Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State on the state of the nation. In the conversation, a vitriolic Gov Shettima called the bluff of separatist movements, particularly south-easterners, and ramblingly advocated for synergy between the Southwest and the North. But as the aides of the Borno governor said — and they are more believable — the voice on the supposed telephone call neither sounded like that of the governor nor did the cadence resemble anything close to that of the governor. Gunmen ‘kill’ Tiv monarch

The kindred head of Ushir, in Shitile clan, Katsina Ala Local Government of Benue State, Chief Yimaorga Asogo, has been allegedly killed by gunmen. A source said: “Chief Asogo was abducted from his home last night by gunmen after they overpowered his family. “He was taken away, strangled and his body was abandoned in a bush before it was later found by a search party.” Killings have been on the rise since the state government declared criminal gang leader, Terwase Akwaza, wanted. Those murdered are mostly from Yooyo ward, Kpav Shitile in Katsina Ala Local Government, the country home of the wanted gang leader. The President of Sankera Development Association (SADA), Gboko branch, Teryila Asom, who confirmed the killing of the monarch, urged security agencies to live up to their responsibility. He lamented that Sankera, known for yam production, was gradually being turned into a war zone.

Police kill robber for shooting DPO

Two members of a robbery gang that opened fire on the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ogbere Division, Adeyinka Akingbade, have been arrested by operatives of Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS), Ogun State. The Nation  learnt that Adeyinka was injured by the suspects when he and a team of policemen responded to a distress call that robbers invaded a hotel in Itele-Ijebu. The suspects ambushed him and shot him at close range. Spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi said in a statement that Police Commissioner Ahmed Iliyasu, on getting a report on the shooting, directed FSARS, led by Uba Adam, to arrest the hoodlums. Said he: “The FSARS team swung into action and their efforts paid off after six hours when the robbers’ hideout was located. “On sighting the police, the hoodlums engaged them in a gun battle, which lasted about an hour. “At the end of the encounter, two of the robbers, Wasiu Ganiyu and Azeez Komolafe, were arrested.
