A constellation of Kenyan artists, comprising Bensoul, Savara (of Sauti Sol fame), Nviiri The Storyteller, Fathermoh, Ndovu Kuu, Maandy, and Jovial, come together in the stunning musical collaboration "Tujengane." The English translation of the song title, "Tujengane," is "Let's Build Together," which sums up the message of harmony, cooperation, and support for one another.

The song emphasizes the value of uniting as a society to celebrate life, regardless of one's financial situation, obstacles at work, or other difficulties in life. This song exhorts listeners to put aside their disagreements and difficulties in order to work together to accomplish more than they could separately.

Jude Onah, 24, may not be a university graduate or an auto engineer. But one Sunday, he drove to church in a locally-assembled three-wheel aerodynamic car, which he designed, writes Udemma Chukwuma. It was difficult for those present to believe that Jude Onah is a junior secondary school dropout when he drove his 2017 locally-assembled three-wheel aerodynamic car to Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Grace Land, Kaduna, where he worships, a few Sundays ago. A crowd, including children, who could not hide their surprise, gathered around the red car in admiration after the service. They cheered Onah and the children ran after the car as he drove home. Ogun to distribute C of O bi-monthly

Ogun State Governor  Ibikunle Amosun has assured that the issuance of Certificates of Occupancy and other land title documents under the Homeowners’ Charter Scheme will now be bi-monthly in order to fast-track the process. The Governor who stated this while distributing the documents to successful beneficiaries at the Oba’s Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, said it would help speed-up the process and avoid needless delay in the issuance of the Certificates to qualified applicants. Amosun, who was represented by the Special Adviser/Director-General, Bureau of Lands & Survey, Mr. Biyi Ismail, pleaded with applicants yet to complete payment to pay up on time so that their application can be promptly processed.  ‘’We have been consistent in the distribution of C of O and other land title documents in the last three months and we even made it bi-monthly from August 2017 just to make Homeowners’ Charter process faster and not to keep successful applicants waiting’’ he said...

Brazil to lift meat trade restrictions- WTO chief

Brazil is engaged in World Trade Organisation(WTO) committee talks aimed at eliminating any potential barriers to poultry and pork exports. The meeting is in line with an upcoming summit in December, the next opportunity to advance agreements benefiting its farm exports, the head of the WTO said. Brazil has proposed the adoption of scientific criteria related to sanitary standards in the food trade in a WTO committee, Director-General Roberto Azevedo told a conference on Tuesday. Brazil and the European Union have an interest in advancing talks to reduce subsidies distorting trade, although no agreement is in sight yet, he added. The EU, Brazil and three other Latin American countries introduced a WTO proposal in July aimed at reducing farm subsidies. “For it to be possible to reduce subsidies it is necessary that all countries change. Otherwise it is like unilateral disarmament,” Azevedo said. The WTO will hold a ministerial conference in Buenos Aires in early December. ...

‘Release El-Zakzaky and wife to us’

An advocacy group, Concerned Nigerians has requested that the leader of Nigeria’s Islamic Movement,  Ibrahim Yaqoub El Zakzaky be released to them. The group further accused the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, of falsehood over the present welfare and accommodation of the outspoken Shi’a Muslim cleric. This is contained in a statement signed by the Convener, Deji Adeyanju and Secretary to the group, John Danfulani. Accident, Investigation Bureau (AIB) Commissioner Akin Olateru  has urged members of the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE) to be more professional in the discharge of their duties. Ogun govt calls for synergy among council chiefs

The Ogun State government has urged chairmen of local government areas, local council development areas (LCDAs) and Consultative Advisory Committee (CAC) to maintain a harmonious relationship that will enable the councils develop. The Ekiti State All Progressives Congress (APC) Elders’ Forum has thrown its weight behind governorship zoning to Ekiti South to ensure equity, justice and fair play among the three senatorial districts. Kenya Opposition Plans Mass Protests to Force Out Vote Officials

Kenya’s main opposition alliance will begin mass protests this week to force out electoral officials it suspects of rigging last month’s annulled presidential vote. The National Super Alliance will begin its campaign on Tuesday and will continue until the Independent Electoral & Boundaries Commission officeholders resign, said Norman Magaya, chief executive officer of the opposition coalition. Unity is essential for churches to overcome challenges facing them in the 21st century, the Prelate of Motailatu Church Cherubim and Seraphim Worldwide, Dr Israel Akinadewo, has stated. He spoke last week as guest speaker at a one-day symposium titled  the church and the challenges of the 21 st  century  at the National Headquarters of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Makoko, Lagos. The symposium was part of activities marking the 70th anniversary of the church. Akinadewo identified challenges facing churches to include persecution, inter-religious conflict, funding, leadership struggles, heretical beliefs and involvement in secular politics. ROYAL SOCIETY AIMS TO BOOST NUMBER OF BLACK SCIENTISTS

  Young black scientists will get sizeable grants towards cutting-edge research in a pilot scheme aimed at increasing their numbers in the field. Five scientists a year will get up to £690,000 spread over four years. The Royal Society, which represents the UK's leading researchers, hopes its grants increase low numbers of black scientists, particularly in research. The fellowships  should allow the recipients to work in any of the country's research institutes. It will also mentor the scientists and help with career networking. Royal Society President Prof Sir Adrian Smith told BBC News that the low numbers of black scientists in the UK was "unacceptable". Dr Mark Richards, who is one of the UK's very few senior black scientists, and who helped the Royal Society develop the scheme, said that although the number of fellowships is small, it is hoped that they will make a big difference.
