Janet and Wissam Al Mana were spotted leaving the Royal Courts of Justice in London Thursday afternoon after the apparent first round of their divorce battle wrapped up. The singer left with her assistant and legal team while her Qatari multi-millionaire ex flew solo.
As you recall ... Janet married Wissam in 2012 and they had a son together named Eissa in January. They split just a few months later.

NIMC chief faults identification system

NATIONAL Identity Management Commission (NIMC)  Director-General, Aliyu Aziz, has faulted the identification system, arguing that it cannot foster economic growth. To him, only the National Identification Number (NIN) has the key to the realisation of the Economic Growth and Recovery Plan (EGRP) of the government. Serena Williams on Wednesday shared first photos of her adorable baby girl to the public. The Tennis star released the first image of newborn baby girl on Instagram with a name. Serena  and her fiancé Alexis Ohanian have named their daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr.  “So we’re leaving the hospital after six, seven days,” Serena said on Instagram. “It’s been a long time, but we had a lot of complications, but look who we got — we got a baby girl!” Williams also shared some vital stats for Alexis in a video, including an impressive major count for someone who isn’t even two weeks old yet, referencing the fact Williams won the Australian Open in January when she was eight weeks pregnant. $33b reserves to cover 8.1 months imports  The Investors’ and Exporters’ (I&E) Forex Window has attracted $11.2 billion as at September 15, a report by FBN Capital, the investment and research arm of FBN Holdings, has said. The foreign exchange reserves which currently stand at $33 billion is expected to cover 8.1 months imports, when imports of services are added, it said. The research firm said: “The pick-up in oil production has been an obvious positive for accumulation. Officials are encouraging the view that it is back at, or close to the 2.0 million barrels per day level. Further, the FGN may well return to the Eurobond market this year. Bayelsa urges hospitals to key into its Health Insurance Scheme

Bayelsa Government has urged health institutions in the state to key into the Health Insurance Scheme being packaged for workers and people of the state. The Commissioner for Health, Prof. Ebitimitula Etebu, spoke on Wednesday in Yenagoa at a one-day sensitisation and interactive session with doctors on the implementation of the scheme. The commissioner enjoined medical doctors to deploy their wealth of experience to ensure that the scheme succeeds, noting that the state government places high premium on its implementation. Dr Zuoboemi Agadah, Executive Secretary of the Bayelsa State Health Insurance Scheme, explained the workings of the scheme. He said that the scheme was not meant to maximise profit, but to ensure equitable distribution of health care cost among low and high income earners. Katsina Assembly passes 56 bills in two years – Speaker

The Katsina State House of Assembly said that it passed 56 bills during the past two years. The Speaker of the Assembly, Alhaji Abubakar Yahaya, said this during a press briefing on the second anniversary of the Assembly. He said that the lawmakers also deliberated on 134 motions and 77 resolutions in 208 days in its first legislative year. Yahaya further said that assembly had deliberated on 150 motions in 201 sittings during its second legislative year. “73 resolutions were forwarded to the executive arm for consideration and implementation. “All these motions and resolutions were on the state’s socio-economic needs of the people and in tandem with the strategic mission of enhancing good governance and infrastructure development,’’ he said. FG tasks CSOs, others on nutrition budget tracking

The Federal Government has urged civil society groups and other nutrition stakeholders to prioritize tracking of resources allocated to nutrition in various tiers of government to ensure appropriate implementation. Dr. Chris Isokpunwu, Head of Nutrition Federal Ministry of Health, made the call at a dissemination meeting for budget analysis for health and nutrition on Saturday in Abuja. The meeting was organized by the Civil Society Scaling-Up Nutrition in Nigeria a coalition under the Partnership for Advocacy in Child and Family Health. Isokpunwu, who identified malnutrition as a public health issue, emphasized the existence of a strategic plan of action on nutrition that demanded adequate budgetary allocation by all tiers of government.
