Oge Okoye defends physique

NOLLYWOOD actress, Oge Okoye, has defended herself, saying she is all natural, without any artificial addition to her body enhancement.
The actress had earlier posted a photograph on Instagram, but it appears her fans would have none of what was on display. Some of the comments suggest that the actress padded her buttocks but she was quick to counter them.
“I am natural! I did not wear buttocks pad. How gullible can peeps be? Or will I say funny, differentiate the skin from the butt pad. It’s just a see-thru legging,” Okoye posted.
The actress who used to be one of the frequent faces in the movie industry is back on the movie set shooting for both home movies and soaps.
Oge Okoye was born in London. She later moved to live in Lagos with her family. She graduated from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka with a degree in Theatre Arts.

Firm, contractors quarrel over unpaid N400m debt

•Spokesman: They should be patient, we’ll pay soon  Aggrieved contractors and Conoil Producing in Koluama community in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State are in a row over unpaid N400 million debt. The contractors have threatened to shut down operations, if the firm failed to pay them. The indigenous contractors, under the aegis of Conoil Ango Field Marine Spread Contractors, said the company had not paid them for about 10 months for the barges and tugboats they hired. The contractors, in a petition sent to the management of Conoil, said despite waiting from December 2016 to September 2017, the company is yet to pay them for their services and equipment. Herbalist caught with human body parts in Kwara

An Ilorin Magistrates’ Court on Thursday remanded in prison custody a herbalist, Busari Abdulwasiu, for unlawful possession of human parts. Magistrate Mohammed Lawal ordered that the accused be remanded at Mondala Prison, Ilorin and adjourned the case until June 19 for a mention. The Prosecutor, Insp. Toying Olasupo told the court that the accused was apprehended on April 23 by residents of Ita-Kudimo area of Ilorin. According to the prosecutor, the police saved the accused from being lynched by an angry mob. He said that on interrogation, the accused could not give a satisfactory account of how he came about the human head and body parts. The prosecutor said that police investigation revealed that Abdulwasiu was a herbalist using the human parts for rituals. The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge of unlawful possession of human part.

Ambode seeks statistical systems for inclusive development

Lagos State Governor Akinwumi Ambode yesterday canvassed statistical systems for data collection revolution and inclusive development in the state and across the nation. The governor spoke in Lagos at this year’s International Statistical Conference, organised by the Nigerian Statistical Association (NSA).   A Scottish research team believe they may have produced the "holy grail" alternative to palm oil. It is estimated that almost half of all food and cosmetic products on supermarket shelves contain palm oil. The huge demand has led to significant deforestation in areas where oil palm trees can grow near the equator. Food experts at Queen Margaret University (QMU) in Edinburgh say their new 100% plant-based ingredient is 70% better for the environment. And with 80% less saturated fat and 30% fewer calories, they are also hailing PALM-ALT as a significantly healthier option. Dogara backs OGFZA bill

The speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has thrown his weight behind efforts by the National Assembly (NASS) to amend the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA) Act of 1996. In his opening remarks on Thursday in Abuja to the public hearing on the bill to amend the OGFZA law, organised by the House Committee on Commerce, Dogara said he was convinced deliberations at the public hearing would lead to appropriate review and correction of any ambiguities that may exist in the OGFZA Act.
