Pillars now a complete team, coach Musa boasts

Kano Pillars acting technical adviser, Ibrahim A Musa believes that Sai Masu Gida is now a better and complete team following his side’s 1-1 draw against Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) FC in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Matchday 26 clash at the Kwara State Stadium Complex in Ilorin on Wednesday.
Musa has led the Pyramid City side to four wins, two away draws and one away defeat since he replaced former technical adviser, Kadiri Ikhana at the beginning of the second stanza.
In a telephone chat with SportingLife, Musa heaped praises on his boys for playing to instructions while dedicating the draw to the State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for his support to the team.
“It was a good game and we played better. We were the better side and we played good football. This is what has been missing in the team for a very long time and I am happy that I am making people of Kano and our fans all over the world happy again. The boys played to instruction during the game and it was a well deserved result, Musa said to SportingLife.
He added: “We planed and aimed for victory and we would have gotten three points in the game but late minute penalty awarded to the home team denied us the important win. I am not complaining about officiating rather than focus on our next matches because every game is important to us.  I want to dedicate this feat to our State Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for his unrelenting support to the team. Our focus now is to see how we can earn more points to move to the top position and In Sha Allah we will achieve that.”
Meanwhile, the matchday 27 clash against Rivers United has been shifted from Sunday 2/7/2017 to end of July.
According to the club’s media officer, Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, the match was moved by the League Management Company (LMC) to allow Rivers United FC prepared for its CAF Confederation Cup against club African of Tunis in Port Harcourt fixed for Sunday July 2.
