At least 22,000 security experts, government functionaries, lawyers and business owners across the world are expected to attend the American Society for Industrial Security’s (ASIS) 63rd annual seminar in Dallas, Texas.
Ex-President of the United States, George Bush, owner of Maverick, Mark Cuban and a host of other top shots are to deliver lectures at this year’s event slated for September 25 to 28, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Centre, said ASIS’ member services.
It said the seminar would feature topics on security, risk management, defense, security technology, homeland security, cyber security, security management and much more.
According to former Chairman, ASIS 206 Chapter, Nigeria, Dr. Ubong King, this year’s seminar promises to develop minds of serving and retired security personnel both in public and private sectors.
He said: “ASIS 2017 is supposed to help develop minds of security professionals, both those in service and out of service. It would address what professional security provides and disclose new security challenges, trends globally.
“It will also address how we can begin to put structures and create relationships that can mitigate criminal antecedents that are coming up.
“Nothing stops anybody from learning to be better than what they were. Criminality is changing every second and so we are coming together as a family to discuss, improve on what we know and proffer solutions.
“Another interesting part of ASIS seminar is that it is also for people in public security. There will be a lot of topics for people to choose what they have interests in.”
Technology giants would also exhibit latest video security gadgets.
