MohBad’s Management Announces Candlelight Procession For The Late Singer

 

The management of Promise Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad has announced a candlelight procession and tribute in honour of the late singer.

The announcement was made on Mohbad’s X handle on Monday, few minutes before midnight.

A flyer was shared with the details of the event which is expected to hold on Thursday, September 21 at 5pm.

The candlelight procession is expected to commence from Lekki Phase 1 Gate and terminate at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The tribute concert will kick off 8pm prompt at Muri Okunola Park.

Dress code for the candlelight procession and tribute concert is white T-shirt.

And according to the management, the “event is not sponsored by any company or individual.”

The musical act died on Tuesday, September 12, at 27 with several controversies surrounding his demise.

AIB boss charges NAAPE on professionalism

Accident, Investigation Bureau (AIB) Commissioner Akin Olateru  has urged members of the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE) to be more professional in the discharge of their duties. Lagos screens 36,000 for HIV

To achieve Lagos State’s plan to eliminate the Human  Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV/AIDS)  by 2030, the state aids control agency (LSACA)  is screening of over 36,000 residents of Ikorodu. According to LSACA Director- General/CEO Dr. Oluseyi Temowo, who spoke at Ijede in Ikorodu, the story of HIV/AIDS has changed because 30 years ago, HIV was unknown and it killed a lot of people. “But today, HIV is no longer a death sentence; rather it is a life sentence. People can live their normal life because there are drugs, prevention and control measures put in place. So, if anybody dies of HIV/AIDS, it is because he or she did not take care of himself or herself or did not avail himself or herself of drugs and proper treatment,”Temowo said. Lawyers: IPOB’s funding can be blocked diplomatically

Lawyers yesterday said the federal government can block the funding of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) through diplomatic means. The government had said IPOB gets its funding from France, which it described as the group’s international headquarters. But France denied having anything to do with the secessionist group. Director-General of West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM), Prof. Akpan Ekpo, urged the Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) to track financial flows to IPOB. He said the agency should work closely with all core regulators of financial, other-financial institutions, designated non- financial businesses and professions to ensure that funding for IPOB is blocked. Suspected Boko Haram attack kills two in Maiduguri-Damboa highway

The Police command in Borno has confirmed the death of two persons in a suspected Boko Haram attack along the Maiduguri-Damboa highway. Mr Damian Chukwu, the Borno Police Commissioner, who confirmed this on Tuesday said that the dead persons included a police man and a truck driver. “You would recall that since the Maiduguri-Damboa highway was reopened, motorists ply the road strictly on military escort. “Initially it was only the military that provides the escort, but later the police was invited to join,” Chukwu said.
