MohBad’s Management Announces Candlelight Procession For The Late Singer

 

The management of Promise Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad has announced a candlelight procession and tribute in honour of the late singer.

The announcement was made on Mohbad’s X handle on Monday, few minutes before midnight.

A flyer was shared with the details of the event which is expected to hold on Thursday, September 21 at 5pm.

The candlelight procession is expected to commence from Lekki Phase 1 Gate and terminate at Muri Okunola Park, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The tribute concert will kick off 8pm prompt at Muri Okunola Park.

Dress code for the candlelight procession and tribute concert is white T-shirt.

And according to the management, the “event is not sponsored by any company or individual.”

The musical act died on Tuesday, September 12, at 27 with several controversies surrounding his demise.

Family accuses police of obstructing justice over Lagos property

…Police: Possession was taken illegally  The family of a former Head of Service in Lagos, the late Mr. C.O. Bajulaiye, has accused the police of denying its members access to their late father’s house in spite of a court judgment authorising them to take possession. The family had approached the Lagos Magistrates Court in a bid to recover the property from a tenant, a company. On May 8, the court ordered the company to give up possession of the property made up of a five-bedroom detached house, a two-bedroom guest chalet, and three-room boys quarters on or before May 10. The company was also ordered to pay a “mesne profit” at the rate of N3million on the property located on 8, Agoro Odiyan Street, off Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island. Senate gives NPA four days for information on 282 missing vessels

The Senate on Thursday, gave the Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Usman, four days to explain the whereabouts of over 282 vessels allegedly missing from the sea ports. Sen. Hope Uzodinma, Chairman, Senate’s Joint Committee on Customs, Excise and Tariff and Marine Transport, gave the ultimatum in Abuja, at an investigative hearing on N30 trillion lost through leakages in Customs and other agencies. Uzodinma, who expressed displeasure with the managing director for not honouring the committee’s two previous invitations, said the information on the vessels was imperative and must be available within four days. He threatened that the senate may be compelled to pursue a financial crime case against Usman should he fail to heed the committee’s directive. “We are looking for these vessels. Pensioners condemn agitations for breakup

THE Nigeria Union of Pensioners (NUP) has asked those agitating for the country’s break up to stop and join hands with the government to promote unity. The union appealed to Acting President Yemi Osinbajo for the payment of the outstanding 18 months of 33  per cent pension arrears following the signing of the budget. In a statement signed by its General Secretary, Elder Actor Zal, the union praised the Federal Government for this month’s prompt payment of pensions to pensioners. Rivers East district has no senator, says Wike

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has said Rivers East has no senator. He spoke yesterday at  a Thanksgiving Service for Senator George Thompson Sekibo, at the St Thomas Anglican Church in Diobu. Sekibo was sacked from the National Assembly by the Court of Appeal last week. He accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of destroying key national institutions. Wike said following APC’s negative governance style, the police and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) have metamorphosed into rigging machines threatening the peace of the country. FIBA was good exposure for Nigerian players – NBBF

A member of the Nigeria Basketball Federation ( NBBF ), Retd. Col. Sam Ahmedu, on Monday said Nigeria’s participation in the FIBA Africa 3×3 Championship was a good exposure for the players. No plans to take over airports, says Bi-Courtney

Operators of the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two ( MMA2) Bi- Courtney Aviation Services Limited has said it has no plans to take over Lagos and Abuja airports proposed for concession by the Federal Government without following due process. Rather than protest against government’s plan to concession  the two airports, the firm advised workers and other stakeholders to request the government to guarantee transparency in the process that will bring about private sector management of the airports.
