Innoss’B – Chantier


 A well-known musician in the Congolese music scene, Innoss'B has made a big impact on a lot of different music genres, like Afrobeats, Ndombolo, Hip Hop, R&B, Rumba, and Afropop. He was born on May 5, 1997, as Innocent Didace Balume in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He is well-known for his diverse skill set as a rapper, singer, dancer, and songwriter. One of the singles from his most recent album, "Calcul," "Chantier," marks his comeback to the music scene.


The English word "Chantier," which means "Construction Site," immediately draws in listeners with its throbbing rhythm and upbeat percussion. A compelling groove introduces the song, setting the stage for an exciting musical adventure ahead.

U.S pledges support for FG’s anti-graft campaign

NASS failed to address key issues on budget – Fashola

The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, on Monday said the National Assembly’s response to his observation on the 2017 Budget did not address fundamental issues raised on funds allocated to  key ministries. Fashola, in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Hakeem Bello, expressed concern over the recourse to name-calling and personal attack by the federal lawmakers, insisting the legislators lack power to insert items in budget prepared by the executive. The minister said he was worried that spokespersons of the Senate and House of Representatives failed to state the reason the National Assembly cut allocations to key infrastructure projects of the ministry. Melaye’s recall: INEC yet to get court ruling, goes ahead with process

The Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC) yesterday said it is going ahead with the timetable for the recall process for Senator Dino Melaye because it has not been served any court ruling or process. The recall process is expected to begin on Monday. Justice John Tsoho of the Federal High Court, Abuja had on Thursday rejected Melaye’s ex-parte motion for a temporary injunction to restrain the INEC from proceeding with the recall process. Tsoho only asked the parties to maintain the status quo pending the hearing of the Motion on Notice. According to a top official of the electoral commission, who spoke with our correspondent at about 6pm yesterday, the recall process will go ahead. Forces against push for sugar self-sufficiency

The Federal Government plans to achieve self-sufficiency in sugar. MTN: we reported swap fraud to police

Teleccoms giant MTN Nigeria yesterday said it hinted the police of “unusual level of swap activities” which led to the arrest and the ongoing investigation. In a statememt yesterday, the firm which commended the police for doinga good job, restated that the allged mastermind of the crime were not its workers but “employees of an independent but regulated third-party trade partner who owns and operates the Connect store where the incident took place” The statement said: “Our attention has been drawn to inaccuracies being reported by certain media regarding some individuals, alleged to be MTN employees, involved in a syndicated crime resulting in fraudulent bank transactions. “We wish to point out that the arrest stemmed from MTN’s report of an unusual level of swap activity to the Nigeria Police. Soyinka to teach in South Africa

Nobel  laureate Wole Soyinka is taking up a post as visiting professor at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. The 83-year-old playwright and author told students and journalists at the South African university at the weekend that being an itinerant teacher has become “a way of life” and that the benefit of encountering different cultures during his travels is that “one does not stagnate.” Soyinka said  he and his Johannesburg students might create a play together, as well as discuss history and international relations along with literature. Soyinka drew laughter after saying: “What I don’t know, I’ll pretend that I know.” The university says it hopes Soyinka’s periodic presence on campus will boost plans to set up a creative writing programme.

Al Qaeda frees abducted Swede

Hostage Johan Gustafsson, held by al-Qaeda in Mali since 2011, has been freed, the Swedish government said on Monday. Mr. Gustafsson, 42, is being flown back to Sweden from Africa, Sweden’s Foreign Minister, Margot Wallström, said in a statement. The BBC reports that the Swede was seized by al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) along with two other men, one of whom was freed in a dawn raid in 2015. Ms Wallström said Mr. Gustafsson was “in good spirits.” “It is with great pleasure that I can announce that Johan Gustafsson has been released,” Ms Wallström added. She said the Swede’s release was thanks to “extensive efforts” and co-operation between the Swedish foreign ministry, police and “foreign authorities.” Ms Wallström said she had spoken with Mr. Gustafsson, who she described as being “happy” and “overwhelmed” by Monday’s events. “I cannot say more at the current time,” she added.
