Innoss’B – Chantier


 A well-known musician in the Congolese music scene, Innoss'B has made a big impact on a lot of different music genres, like Afrobeats, Ndombolo, Hip Hop, R&B, Rumba, and Afropop. He was born on May 5, 1997, as Innocent Didace Balume in Goma, Democratic Republic of the Congo. He is well-known for his diverse skill set as a rapper, singer, dancer, and songwriter. One of the singles from his most recent album, "Calcul," "Chantier," marks his comeback to the music scene.


The English word "Chantier," which means "Construction Site," immediately draws in listeners with its throbbing rhythm and upbeat percussion. A compelling groove introduces the song, setting the stage for an exciting musical adventure ahead.

They may soon have to loosen their ties if the debate on medically assisted procreation ever makes its to the lower house. Nigerian Enamelware doles out 12.67m bonus shares

Nigerian Enamelware Plc has distributed 12.672 million ordinary shares of 50 kobo each as bonus shares to its shareholders, proportionately increasing the shareholdings of shareholders without any cash payment. The bonus shares were issued by the company by capitalising its reserves, drawing about N6.34 million from its retained earnings to pay for the newly issued shares. The bonus shares were distributed to shareholders for one new ordinary share for every five ordinary shares held by each shareholder. The additional shares have been listed at the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), thus increasing total outstanding shares of the company to 76.032 million ordinary shares of 50 kobo each.

Top ‘Boko Haram terrorist’, Aliko, arrested

A suspected Boko Haram terrorist, Aliyu Ahmed, alias Aliko is now in army custody following his arrest in Bauchi State. Army spokesman, Brigadier General Sani Usman, confirmed yesterday that Ahmed was arrested on Friday by troops of 33 Brigade, following a tip-off in Yuga village in Toro Local Government Area of the state, where he has been in hiding. The army also said it intercepted four child traffickers and 19 under aged children in Yobe State. “He was found to be in possession of one single barrel gun and one Dane gun. “During preliminary interrogation, he confessed that he actively participated in several Boko Haram terrorists’ attacks and also owned an AK-47 Rifle which he lost during one of the attacks they carried out in 2016. “His interrogation continued,” Usman said. Gana to deliver Oyo varsity’s convocation lecture

A former  Minister of Information, Prof Jerry Gana is to deliver the 9th convocation lecture of Ajayi Crowther University (ACU), Oyo, scheduled to hold on October 12. Mr. Alvan Ewuzie, a Senior Assistant Registrar, Public Relations, said this in a statement in Ibadan yesterday. He said that the politician and former minister of information would deliver a lecture entitled ‘Building a culture of academic excellence in Nigerian Universities.’ The lecture is scheduled to hold at the institution’s law auditorium. According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) three eminent personalities would be conferred with the honourary degrees during the convocation scheduled to hold on Oct. 13, in appreciation of their various contributions to the development of the state and the country. They are: Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi,  wife of Oyo State Governor, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, and a businessman, Chief Tunde Afolabi.

There is no crisis in Rivers APC – Ikanya

Lalong tasks Fed Gov on abandoned power projects

Plateau State governor, Simon Bako Lalong, has appealed to the federal government on the completion of abandoned power projects across the state so as to stimulate economic activities in the state. Lalong made the appeal at the closing ceremony of the week-long meeting of National Council on Power (NACOP) held at Crest Hotel and Garden Jos, Plateau State. According to Lalong, “A key policy thrust of our administration is infrastructural development, of which power supply is key. Carpenter with toy gun jailed 12 months

A Karmo Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, yesterday sentenced a carpenter, Chinonso Eze, to 12 months’ imprisonment, for possessing a toy gun and knife at a public place. Eze, 32, of Gwagwa, by Tasha 1, Abuja, was convicted following his guilty plea to charges of attempting to commit an offence and escape from lawful custody. The Judge, Mr. Abubakar Sadiq, sentenced him to six months in jail on each of the two counts. He said the punishment would have been more severe, if the carpenter had wasted the court’s time and allowed a trial. Sadiq advised the convict to desist from committing crimes. The prosecutor, Mrs. Florence Avhioboh, told the court that a police patrol unit, led by Abbah Gabriel, arrested Eze, about 12:25 am., on September 1. She said he was arrested at an ATM Gallery at Jabi, Abuja, in possession of a toy gun and knife.

U.S pledges support for FG’s anti-graft campaign

The United States on Wednesday reiterated its commitment to the Federal Government’s anti-corruption drive, saying it would continue to offer material and intelligence supports to ensure Nigeria is rid of graft. The U.S. Charge d’Affaires, Mr. David Young, said the cost of corruption to the economy should not be measured by figures of stolen assets, but its effects on hardworking citizens. The diplomat said America would continue to support open partnership with agencies of government and civil society organisations to end corruption in Nigeria, adding that all Nigeria’s stolen assets stashed in the U.S would be recovered and returned to the country. Uba debunks PDP defection

Sen. Andy Uba says he has not defected from  the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the outcome of the Anambra governorship primaries. Uba, who is from Anambra South made this known to newsmen at his country home, on Tuesday. He debunked  reports making the rounds that he planned to dump the APC for a new party. Airtel supports digital journalism training again

All is set for another digital journalism training sponsored by Airtel Nigeria under the aegis of The Journalism Clinic and facilitated by the widely-travelled digital journalism trainer, Dan Mason. Although 100 journalists will be trained this year, as was the case in 2015, this time around, data journalism will be added to the previous multimedia storytelling.
